Why we chose to highlight this story: Local pastor Caleb Musselman from The SOMA Gathering church hosted a conversation with District 14 candidates Roman Kozak and Kenya Johns, PhD., the current mayor of Beaver Falls. The conversation answered questions about the role of a state representative, provided an opportunity to learn more about each candidate's values, and illustrated that courteous political campaigning is possible.

Why we chose to highlight this video: The Cornerstone of Beaver County (TCBC) recently introduced a video series called "Bringing Hope Home," which aims to raise awareness around the issue of homelessness, the complex situations that lead to and stem from homelessness, and the challenges of navigating interventions and solutions. It also aims to shed light on the hope that comes from fostering a deeper understanding of homelessness and moving toward long-term solutions, including affordable housing.
